Signs and Symptoms
Classification of the Symptoms

These symptoms can be classified according to the organ they are revealed. This classification looks like this:
Nose: swelling of the nasal mucosa (allergic rhinitis)
Eyes: redness and itching of the conjunctiva (allergic conjunctivitis)
Airways: bronchoconstriction, wheezing and dyspnoea, sometimes outright attacks of asthma
Ears: feeling of fullness, possibly pain, and impaired hearing due to the lack of eustachian tube drainage.
Skin: various rashes, such as eczema, hives (urticaria) and contact dermatitis.
Head: while not as common, headaches are seen in some with environmental or chemical allergies.

The symptoms you are going to develop depend on your immune system, state of your health and peculiarities your organism has. You may have only one at first or you may suffer at least ten of them. The number and the seriousness of the symptoms also depends on the quantity of allergens you are facing. Mostly often the symptoms appear in such organs: nose, sinuses, lungs, and eyes.

The signs of allergies

Sneezing often accompanied by a runny or clogged nose
Coughing and postnasal drip
Itching eyes, nose, and throat
Allergic shiners (dark circles under the eyes caused by increased blood flow near the sinuses)
The "allergic salute" (in a child, persistent upward rubbing of the nose that causes a crease mark on the nose
Watering eyes
Conjunctivitis (an inflammation of the membrane that lines the eyelids, causing red-rimmed, swollen eyes, and crusting of the eyelids).

However in some cases the skin, digestive system, and blood vessels can be affected as well. As it was mentioned above everything depends on the type of allergens and the condition of your health.
